I think a Fortune Cookie Got Me Pregnant!!!!

Where do I start with this one? I think a fortune cookie got me pregnant. I think it started back on the first week of December. My husband and I were eating Panda Express and my fortune cookie's fortune was I quote "You will experience a life changing event at the end of summer". I showed my husband and started laughing, I mean what could happen that far off? My husband keeps looking at the fortune and the ask me point blank "Are you pregnant" I start laughing hysterically at this. I stated that I just had my period 2 weeks ago and the fact that we tried very hard to get pregnant a few years ago when I was a housewife and it never panned out that I pretty much doubt I'm pregnant! Two weeks later I'm experiencing extreme tiredness, like I will try and force myself to stay awake and I can't! My husband is getting upset with me because all I do is work come home and then sleep. He gets to spend no time with me. I then wake up feeling nauseous 2 days in a row and throw up. On the 2nd day I decide I might need to take a pregnancy test because I'm 1 week late and I have never been more then 3 days late, I'm like clockwork. I take 4 test on 12/30/2008 with my husband before I can believe it! On the 4th test my husband states that he's pretty sure I'm pregnant and every brand can't be wrong! I take a 5th just to be sure! Sure enough I'm Pregnant! I immediately give up smoking cold turkey! (OK I do have 2 more cigarettes, 1 following the first test result and then 1 45 minutes later when I all begins to sink in!)

Over the next 2 months I'm either working, sleeping or throwing up. Where is the wonder of pregnancy? This can't be all pregnancy is all about! I have been reading all the pregnancy books and baby books so by week 18 I'm ready and waiting to feel him move. No movement. I get an ultrasound on week 19 and we find out it's a boy! My husband is estatic! He almost jumps over me to look at the screen better when the tech tells him it's a boy and says I quote "He can't change his mind now can he? It will be a boy?" The tech says that it is pretty definite and he would be willing to bet his paycheck on the fact that our little bundle will be a boy. That just does it we are over the moon! We both wanted a boy and we where going to have one! At this time I also find out why I never feel the little guy move, my placenta is on the front wall and so any time he is kicking or pushing on me the placenta cushions the blow so I don't feel it. Nothing to worry about, just harder to feel him.By week 22 I'm feeling little flutters but this being my first pregnancy I'm not 100% sure what they are.

On April 24 the little guy gives me his first hard kick! Baby Aric is moving in there! About time I felt something! Over the next 10 weeks I'm feeling great! It is starting to get hard to bend, I don't have a waist anymore! And the swelling is getting bad! My doctor tells me that my swelling is severe and if my blood pressure wasn't so stable she would be putting me on bed rest.I stay very active the whole pregnancy but I gain over 64lbs! I have lost a lot of weight before so this is only a slight bother. I just can't wait till he gets here!
